A Solution Consultant at Icon works directly for the Head of Solution Consulting, supporting various activities predominantly across pre-sales but also in post-sales and other areas, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the client interaction process. Key elements of the role will include:
- Participation in the POC sessions, providing payments insight.
- Contribute to Proof of Concepts (POCs) by analysing the scope and requirements from the prospect customer and creating scope documents and indicative flows that can be used by Solution Engineers.
- Leading presentations, and at times high-level demonstrations with prospect clients.
- Supporting the Head of Solution Consulting on content creation across presentations, Solution Designs and documentation.
- Contributing to RFIs and RFPs by responding to questionnaires and creating bespoke solution documents.
About You
- Proven experience in a Solution Consultant or Pre-Sales role, supporting Software/Product driven environments within Financial Services.
- Previous experience with Payments FinTechs would be considered advantageous.
- Our clients and prospective customers are geographically spread – we need someone that is enthusiastic and happy to travel on a regular basis (UK, EU and USA in particular).
- Highly communicative and confident engaging with stakeholders and prospective clients at all levels.
- Solid attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Creative ability to design and produce presentation decks, with excellent written communication to create clean and concise copy across the Pre-Sales lifecycle.
- Being bi-Lingual whilst not essential would be a real benefit to the role when engaging with our growing European client base.
What Do Our Solution Consultants Do?
- Lead presentations and at times high-level demonstrations with prospect clients.
- Supporting the Head of Solution Consulting on content creation across presentations, Solution Designs and documentation.
- Own, detail and spec out requirements for tailored demos and collaborate with the Solution Engineers to develop.
- Participate and bring high energy during industry conferences (Sibos, EBA Day etc).
- Contribute to RFIs and RFPs.
- Contribute to Proof of Concepts (POCs) by analysing the scope and requirements from the prospect customer and creating scope documents and indicative flows that can be used by Solution Engineers.
- Involvement in workshops with prospect clients, discussing high level requirements, solutioning and carrying out whiteboarding exercises.
- Highlighting to internal product management where new developments are required for a prospect customer.
- Support the 'Pre-Discovery', working closely with project manager and any assigned project team (e.g., participating in workshops).
- Help facilitate the transition from pre-sales to delivery, ensuring solution outlined during pre-sales and any key elements are highlighted to the delivery.
- Participate in discovery workshops of the project.
- Support delivery team and sales team in their respective roles to help set project up for success.
