We are looking for Solution Architects with a true passion for driving transformation in financial services. Our Solution Architects play a key role within the Icon Services business, where you will have the opportunity to represent us professionally in customer engagements delivering a range of solutions. This could include supporting end-to-end transformation journeys, enabling organisations to do more with what they already have, advising on the strategy and delivery of new initiatives and products, or how best to respond to regulatory requirements.
About you:
- You are someone with practical experience of solution architecture delivery in large, complex, organisations, whether working by yourself, as part of a team, or leading one. Ideally you’ll have some previous exposure to banking.
- We’re particularly interested in architects with experience in payments, cards, digital and core banking, anti-financial crime and data, who have played a leading role in transformations from legacy to modern architectures, including use of APIs, microservices, event streaming, cloud, agile delivery and DevOps.
- You may or may not already have experience in the consulting sector, but you’ll be articulate, and confident in dealing with and presenting to stakeholders at all levels and know how to craft high quality deliverables and present in a creative, engaging and impactful manner.
What do our Payments Architects do?
- Advise financial institutions how to solve complex IT transformation challenges by shaping and future proofing the strategy that dynamically enables them to respond and stay ahead of ongoing regulatory changes, technology evolution and disruption from forces that are challenging traditional business models.
- Create and own architecture deliverables within client projects, championing simplified solutions that are achievable within the client’s environment and appropriate given the business and organisational context.
- Play an influential role in supporting projects to delivery, interacting with design authorities, technology teams and business stakeholders as necessary.
- Support Icon presales and business development activities, such as discovery sessions for new prospects, bid preparation and developing new consultancy propositions.
- Contribute to blogs, whitepapers, articles and podcasts to promote Icon’s thought leadership in the industry.
